Venice Beach Engagement Session: Donny + Jerica

We couldn’t wait to share this super amazing, ridiculously rad engagement session with everyone! Donny and Jerica are two very cool and special people. They met while Jerica was visiting Los Angles from San Fransisco. She says she never thought she’d fall for an “LA guy”, but as you know, life doesn’t always pan out the way we expect. Lucky for Donny, Jerica made an exception and said yes when he proposed five years later. Once engaged, they both knew that they wanted an engagement session that showcased their unique personalities. The result? A day full of skater boys, a freak show, muscle men, tagging and eventually getting (fake) arrested.

Take a peek at all the shenanigans below. Donny and Jerica will be getting hitched this August in Pasadena, CA. We cannot wait!!

Temecula Wedding Photography: Matt + Kristy

Kristy and Matt got hitched at Kristy’s sister’s house in Temecula, CA last October. It couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for this beautiful day! This was such a fun wedding for us because not only were the bride and groom a blast to work with, but they also incorporated many DIY elements created by their families. The arch over looking the rows of vineyards below, was hand-band by Kristy’s dad (how amazing is that??)! Other family products included creating the center pieces and photo-booth. Kristy and Matt also created the succulent “love” sign themselves!

We had such a great time capturing their first look at South Coast Winery, which was the perfect backdrop for their bridal portraits. They welcomed 100 guests to join them at the ceremony, where they watched Kristy walk down the isle to “Everlasting Light” by the Black Keys. The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, crazy photo-booth fun and the bride even taking a dip in the pool!

Thanks for letting us share in your happiness!

With Love, Tricia, Sophie Mae, LJ and Melanie

Keys Creek Lavender Farm Wedding Photography: Gabe + Brandi

Gabe and Brandi are truly two of our favorite people. They are both so very sweet and so very in love! After styling and capturing their engagement session, we knew their wedding day would be as fun and beautiful as they are. They said their vows at Keys Creek Lavender Farm last October after a year long engagement. The couple welcomed 150 guests to join them for an evening of great food, wine and dancing!

Briana of Briana Maxson Floral Design did an amazing job with the flowers and table arrangements. She installed vintage lanterns in the tree above where Brandi’s brother married them. The sunset lit them up perfectly and made for a flawless backdrop for their vows! We had so much fun capturing all of Brandi and Gabe’s unique wedding decor details like their handmade wooden crates and s’more kits for each guest.

Thank you to Brandi and Gabe for letting us be apart of this truly beautiful and special day!

Love always, Tricia, LJ, Sophie Mae and Melanie

Viceroy Santa Monica Photography: Steve + Jerai Sneak Preveiw

Some weddings are just too beautiful not to share right away! So, we thought we’d do a little sneak preview of Jerai and Steve’s wedding that took Place at the Viceroy Santa Monica last week. The bride looked like a modern Lisa Marie Presley with her voluminous veil and perfectly fitted dress. The groom looked sharp in a tailored black suit which complimented her crystal embellished sash perfectly!

We’d also like to give a very special thank you to Briana Maxson at Briana Maxson Floral Design for the stunning flowers and display! Also, a huge thank you to the team at the Viceroy Santa Monica for helping us create a truly beautiful event.

Can’t wait to show you more!

Orange County Wedding Photography: Daniel + Adrienne

Daniel and Adrienne were a joy to photograph! The couple said their “I-do’s” at Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest, CA. The two have been together since they were 16 years old and were married by the bride’s father in front of 150 guests. Adrianne is an elementary school teacher, so it was super special to capture their first look in the oldest school house in Orange County!

We loved all of the DIY elements they created, from the hand crafted photo-booth to the home-made apple pies. Even the flowers had a crafty touch with a mix of babies breath and lavender which were displayed in mason jars wrapped in burlap. The rustic elements complimented the venue perfectly, even the bridal party looked the part. The bridesmaids wore mis-matched dresses with cowboy boots, which were perfect for all the line dancing that took place until late into the night!

Thanks for an amazing night of laughter, love and lots of photo-bombing!
